Nearby Attractions

Martí Theater

Opened on June 8, 1884 and recently restored. Architectural jewel of the city. In 2015, he was awarded the National Restoration Prize. Its exterior architecture is made up of a rectangular block crowned by a cornice running around it and a parapet originally topped by cups. The horizontality of the building is balanced by the vertical treatment of the windows. The gabled roof, somewhat removed, is expressed as a pediment with a semicircular flowerpot in its center, above the main door.

Grand Theater of Havana Alicia Alonso

Gran Teatro de la Habana Alicia Alonso, is a cultural complex made up of several theaters. It is the headquarters of the National Ballet of Cuba, the National Lyrical Theater and the Spanish Ballet of Cuba. In this place was located the old Tacón theater, one of the most luxurious in America. The theater, rebuilt within the beautiful building, was for many years the largest and most luxurious in the country and great figures from the opera, ballet, music magazine and zarzuela paraded through its stage.

National Capitol of Cuba

Remarkable symbol of the city of Havana and one of the great buildings of Cuba. Of great architectural richness, sumptuously ornamented, with pure lines and beautiful proportions. Excellent quality materials were used throughout the construction of the building, such as: Italian marbles, details on walls, ceilings, doors and lamps, most of which were cast in France. The Capitol is admired by both natives and foreigners. It was declared a National Monument by Resolution 04 of November 15, 2010.

Brilliantly located 1 block from main promenade and close to all the wonderful restaurants of Old Havana. Spotlessly clean, air-conditioned room. Franc and Liz were marvellous hosts. Lovely breakfast and they were happy to do laundry and give us advice, call cabs etc. Highly recommend this style of accommodation in order to get to know the people. If that is what you want and you want to be walking distance from everything this is the place for you. If you want to stay in your room all day with a TV and room service then it is not

A warm and comfortable welcome

We only managed to stay in this hostal for a very short time as we arrived in the afternoon and had an early bus to catch the next day. But what an introduction to Cuba, our host was very friendly and considerate even with our distinct lack of Spanish, she went out of her way to make us comfortable, provided us with everything we required and booked us a Taxi for the following morning so we could get to the bus in time.

I would highly recommend this place, and so ridiculously cheap
